Everyone’s favourite Italian plumber is back in a new adventure! There are new worlds, new enemies, new power-ups and new moves. This game is BRILLIANT! The levels are challenging, the enemies are imaginative and the moves are stylish. There are hundreds of levels to enjoy and some are locked at first (you’ll find locked worlds too). There are so many things to collect and discover so you’ll never get bored, even when you’re stuck! As well as that, there are tons of fun, addictive minigames, some of which can only be played in the excellent multiplayer mode. You can challenge up to three friends. But that’s not all! In Mario vs Luigi mode, you play with one friend. Mario competes against Luigi to collect Big Stars in various zones. It’s really exciting and fast-paced.

Some things i dislike about this game are that you can’t save often on New Super Mario Bros. The only times you can save your progress are when you complete a tower or castle, or when you unlock a level or Toad House. It would be better if you could save anywhere, anytime. Plus, there isn’t much dialogue in this game. I would like it if Mario made funny jokes and comments while you were playing. But apart from that the game is full of fun and friendliness.

FINAL VERDICT:

Graphics: Very colourful and lovely to whatch. The original 2D is just loads of fun toplay with.

Music: Some really joyful and fun tunes that put a smile on your face when you play it

Gameplay: Although the main game dosent use the touch screen i’m glad as it works much better like a original controller.

 Some nice levels

Easy to get the hang of

 Addictive Minigames

 Lots to unlock

 Can’t Save whenever you want

I think this is a great game and anyone who has played super mario bros before or just likes 2D mario should be clicking on the link at the top and buying this game. A must own for the DS

Well there’s loads of good and bad things to say about this game. There’s so much to choose from in FIFA 08! Not only can play as and against hundreds and hundreds of teams, but there are lots of different game modes. In Manager Mode, you can manage your club as well as play as them in a tournament. You can do training, with no opposition part from the goalkeeper, penalty shootouts and tournaments. You can even create your own team, with a logo, banner, motto and all sorts. Plus you can compose your own chant! There are loads of rewards to unlock, like home stadium upgrades and five-star teams. In all the matches a commentator will criticize and praise your football. You get to choose match length (maximum 16 mins), weather and many things. So there’s tons to do. But what are the downsides of this game?

A Screenshot of the game

Some bad things about the game the default favourite team is Liverpool (LOL)! That doesn’t matter much, but I’ll tell you what does. If you’re in an instant replay, zoom in as close as you can, and you’ll notice something. The players aren’t actually touching the ball! The goal keeper never really picks up the ball, it just floats in between his hands! Some of the graphics are really terrible! When you zoom in the graphics are really bad, and the players faces look really funny, I suppose you don’t really notice it when you’re not zooming in, but still, it’s a bit silly. And if you think that’s bad, wait till you see how unreal the faces are! Anderson (plays for Man U) looks English, and half of the players in the game look identical! Honestly, some of the faces look like a completely different person. But although there are a few bad bits, it’s still a really fun game.

FINAL VERDICT:

Graphics:

Music:

Gameplay:

Lots of modes

 Hundreds of teams

 Addictive

Includes statistics and commentary

Graphics are really quite awful

Score: 80%

If you want a handheld footy game then get this but if you have a home conole then just buy it on there (Read Alex’s PS3 Fifa 08 review in the ps3 section)

Warioware Touched Review By Alex Adams

There are a lot of party games on the Ds but this one is unique. Warioware Touched features over 200 amusing minigames and is all about a fat mean looking guy called Wario who is Mario’s arch enemy. Wario is a man who is always looking for money. So when he finds a ds suddenly come shooting out of the sky he decides to go and ask his friends if they can make some levels to go in his new game. You then have to play through his  friends levels to get a high score to unlock the next person’s level. Each character has a unique way of playing for example on some levels you have to drag, others you have to scribble to complete the mini-games. My favourite level is 9-volt and 18-volt who story is all about old school nintendo. You have to then do things like control mario and metroid- like one of them you have to put a pixel in to complete mario, others you have to shoot down old Nintendo consoles. Another one of my favourites is the microphone level where you actually have to blow objects and move them to finish the mini games.

You will always start of with four lives four lives on the levels and you must beat a high score to unlock a “toy”. If you can’t do an inparticlular mini game there is a mode where you can where you can play it and try and get a high score. If you thought that was all there is everytime you beat a high score you will get a “toy”. There are over 30 toys and these are like pianos and timers. There are also games taken from the minigames like one you have to control a plant and take it as high as you can to beat the high score. This is a great game and is one of the must own for ds.

FINAL VERDICT:

Gameplay: Great fun with loads lots of hilarious moments which make you laugh your head off.

Graphics: Great cartoony style graphics which are great to look at.

Music: Some of the music fits some of the levels really well and is cool to listen to.

Hilarious Minigames

Great use of the pen

Playing it over again is fun

The toys are great fun

Old school nintendo games are fantastic

Lots of people will use this game to show there friends how good the Ds is, this game makes best use of the ds’s controls.

Heres a good gameplay video i found.

Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga Review By Alex Adams

Sometimes you should not think wrong about video games. I got this game for Christmas, not asking for it and thought it would very good after seeing it good on other formats. But I never should of thought wrong about it, so when i switched it on and played the first level, and thought it was great fun, and the graphics weren’t as bad as i thought they’d be. So anyway on to the review. Lego star wars: The complete saga is basically all the star wars movies made all into lego with a few modifacations to the stories.

All the characters are made out of  real lego pieces,               actually everything is made out of lego

With over 150 characters this game lasts quite a long time as there is LOADS of stuff to unlock from characters to minigames. If you were worried about playing it before on other formats then don’t worry as the ds version has 30 levels built from the ground up. Each level is not just played one though as you will always have to get the studs needed to complete the level as well as 10 minikits, a red brick and 3 gold bricks which can be unlocked for finding the minikits and the studs in the level and the other one you can find in the level, you can then buy them in the cantina. As well at the cantina you can buy characthers which have to be unlocked, extras and mini-games. The mini-games are another strong part of the game and are great fun. You basically have to do things like maintaining a ship and defending yourself with a lightsaber. You will always get money on how well you do. This was a good game for me i think all people who like star wars should get it. But it does depend what consoles you have.

FINAL VERDICT:

Graphics: Suprisingly good for a ds if they werent this good the game would be awful, But are bad in some places.

Music: Lots of original tunes in here, great music suits all the levels.

Gameplay: Quite easy to get use to when you have played it for about a hour.

Great use of the ds’s hardware

 Good Graphics

 Fun minigames

Sometimes the graphics are just really bad

A bit similiar to the old ds lego star wars games

If you were thinking about geting this on another format then dont be worried to get both as they are not the same.

Score: 89%
